too lazy to meet up in person? or maybe you're simply too busy. phone or text someone instead, just don't give your number out to strangers.

want to plot out complex relationships with people? this is the place to do it. post here to request friends, enemies, lovers, family, enemies with benefits, whatever your heart desires. go crazy.

if you're not one of the three main headlining acts, then the closest you'll ever get to this stage is by standing in the front row of the crowd. this stage is by far the biggest, and the most impressive. every other band is restricted to stages two, and three. poor them. if you don't want to get caught in the mosh pit, get there early. no one likes to see innocent people getting hurt.

slightly less impressive than the main stage, stage two is for the seven remaining acts that aren't quite big enough to make it onto the main. it's smaller, and not as tripped out at the main stage, but the vibe is the same, and the rush you get from the crowd is almost better, for some bands, anyway.

much the same as stage two, stage three is for those bands who didn't quite make it onto the main stage.

this is where all the magic happens. groupies running around with lattés for the bands and technicians scurrying around tuning instruments. if you look closely enough, you might see the drama that happens daily.

these rooms are the nicest if you're one of the big three. a little rule of bound and restricted; the bigger you are, the better your room. bands are not encouraged to intermix with each other, and it is frowned upon to give males and females the same room. never stopped anyone though.

every band has merchandise - t-shirts, mugs .. you name it, they've all got it. this is where the merch kids hang out and take money from screaming fans; anything to get a bit of money, really.

hungry? it's not like you'll find anything nutritious around here. hamburgers, hot dogs, bottled water .. whatever you want that's not fruit and veg, you'll find it here.

hurt yourself in the mosh pit? well hah, sucks to be you. it's your own fault for being there in the first place. but, due to certain regulations, the bound and restricted tour does have a number of first aid tents situated all around the venue. the nurses here aren't sympathetic, and are often flustered and rushed, and have no patience for people who whine over something like a broken finger. you want sympathy, you go home to mommy.

so you're big and rich enough to be able to afford a hotel. good for you. parties, parties, and more parties happen in the hotels, and the room service bill is usually sky high. it's not unusual to see people high-tailing it out through the lobby entrance after skipping out on the bill. people don't usually care what happens at the hotel; what happens in the room, stays in the room, unless you're a bitch and decide to blab it to every tom, dick and harry you meet on the street.

depending on where you are, the streets can either be the safest place to be or the worst. don't go wandering down any dark alleys; stabbed band members are not something the tour needs.

need some petrol? or maybe some diesel? or perhaps you're simply on the road and mcdonalds is too far away so you're making a pit stop for red bull and strawberry laces to get you through the night. remember to pay for your gas if you fill up. you don't want the cops after you.

there's obviously going to be a mall somewhere. with ten different venues, it's almost expected that there'll be one somewhere. borders, barnes and noble, gucci, prada, mcdonalds, burger king .. whatever you want, it's here.

you'll only come here if you've sustained and injury bad enough that you've been referred by a bound and restricted nurse, or you've been out getting pissed and ended up getting in a fight or walking into a lamppost ( it's doable, i've done it ) and you've done serious damage to yourself. again, no sympathy will be offered.

no one wants to end up on those 'what were they like at age whatever' shows. so, do yourself a favour and keep yourself out of the squad cars, and make sure no photos of you make it to the morning paper.

music, booze, and people. what more could you want? plenty of people to take back home with you if you're in the mood for some 'company'.

coming out for a meal? or even just to start the evening off with a couple of drinks? you'll find the places to do it here. you could even earn a bit of extra cash by performing in the bars, but don't let b&r hear about it - you could get kicked off.
